My Call To Auction

We all go through life looking for that way to make a difference, that way to touch many people and to help change lives. I’ve searched and searched for this thing for many years. Working in the Auction industry for over 15 years and coming from a family of auctioneers, I was looking for something more, someway to give back and someway to help.

One day after meeting with a client about their upcoming benefit auction, I was speaking with my wife about what was discussed, how we could raise more money at this event than ever before to be able to build a new wing of the school. In that meeting I realized that with my experience and expertise in benefit auctions, I was able to directly affect the outcome of this group’s auction and help them build that wing of the school. While talking with my wife about the feeling this gave me, she gave me that look…you know that look, the “I told you so” look. She has been saying for years prior that I will find that thing that makes me passionate for what I do and now I finally uncovered my path to help.  With the discovery with in myself, I’ve heard my Call To Action to educate myself with the best benefit auction techniques around, network with seasoned professionals in my industry to learn from them to create amazing auctions for my clients, use the latest software and technologies available to engage more bidders, and to use my passion the best that I can to help those organizations that help so many.
